Using Smart Detection Features

Smart Detection is a Blink Subscription Plan feature available for Blink Mini 2K+, Mini 2, Outdoor 4, Wired Floodlight, and the Video Doorbell (2nd Gen). It uses computer vision to distinguish motion caused by a person or vehicle, making it easier to review relevant activity and reduce unwanted motion events.

Vehicle Detection

When turned on, you’ll receive a “Vehicle detected at [Camera Name]” notification, and a “Vehicle” event type icon will be automatically added to the clip list. This allows you to filter clips by the “Vehicle” event type.

Person Detection

When turned on, you’ll receive a “There is a person at your [Camera Name]” notification, and a “Person” event type icon will be automatically added to the clip list.
