If you have a non-Blink brand mount on the Outdoor and Indoor (3rd Gen) cameras, it is important that the IR (Infrared Light Emitter) sensor is not blocked. As shown below, the IR Light Emitter is located in the lower right area on the front of the camera. If this area is covered, the camera's Night Vision is limited and imagery will appear dark or blurry.
To be safe and avoid blocking any of the camera's functions, we recommend using the mount that shipped with your camera, or official "Blink Home Security" mounting solutions.
