This article will answer commonly asked questions concerning linking to an Amazon account.
Note: You will not be able to link your Blink and Amazon accounts under the following conditions:
- You are not using the latest version of the Blink app.
- You do not see at minimum a "30 days left" trial countdown banner at the top of your Blink app home screen.
- Your mobile device does not meet these requirements:
- An iOS mobile device, software version 14 or higher or
- An Android mobile device, running software version 6.0 or higher or
- A Fire OS mobile device, running software version 7.0 or higher
Why do I need to link my Blink account and my Amazon account?
Linking accounts is required to activate Blink plans purchased on Amazon. You cannot use your plan features until your Blink and Amazon accounts are linked and your devices are attached to your plan.
Linking to an Amazon account lets you find and manage all of your Blink plans in one place. If you have multiple Amazon accounts, make sure you link the one you'd like to use for plan purchases.
To use a plan purchased on Blink.com, you don't have to link your Amazon and Blink accounts. However, to receive subscriber discounts, you must link your Amazon and Blink accounts. You can unlink your Amazon and Blink accounts at any time.
Blink plan subscribers receive discounts on Blink device purchases on Amazon:
- 10% off Blink device purchases on Amazon for monthly plan customers.
- 20% off Blink device purchases on Amazon for plus ai and basic ai1 annual plan customers.2
- All other paid plans include 10% off Blink device purchases on Amazon.
Your discount is automatically applied at checkout on Amazon. The no-cost trial is not eligible for the discount.

How do I link my Blink account to my Amazon account from my mobile device?
- In the Blink app, tap the Settings icon.
- Tap Account and Privacy > Amazon Account Linking.
- At the bottom of the explanation screen, tap Agree and Continue. The following screen prompts you to sign in to your Amazon account. Upon completion, you will get a confirmation screen with "Success! Accounts linked."
- Tap Done. You will be taken back to the Account and Privacy screen, where you will find your Amazon account is now linked.
If you link to the wrong Amazon account, you can always unlink your accounts and then link to the right one.
Do I have to link my Blink account and my Amazon account?
No, linking your accounts is voluntary, and you can unlink the accounts at any time. However, your accounts must be linked to activate a plan purchased on Amazon and to receive subscriber discounts.
Can multiple Blink accounts be linked to the same Amazon account?
No, only one Blink account can be linked to an Amazon account at a time and devices within a Blink account can only be covered by subscriptions within one Amazon account.
Can I unlink my Blink and Amazon accounts?
Yes, linking your accounts is only required to activate plans purchased on Amazon, and to receive the discount.
Do I lose my Blink account if I link my Amazon account and use it to log into the Blink app?
No, your Blink account still exists and can be accessed at any time.
Will Blink gain access to any of my Amazon information or vice-versa?
Yes, agreeing to link these accounts grants Blink and Amazon the ability to access certain information from both accounts. However, both companies have stringent privacy policies regarding what can and cannot be accessed and both sets of policies will be honored by both companies.
How to resolve linking to the wrong Amazon account
If you link to the wrong Amazon.com account, your purchased subscription plans will not be active and you will lose all of your subscription benefits when your no-cost trial ends. You can view and manage your subscriptions on the Your Memberships & Subscriptions page on Amazon.com.
Once you determine your correct Amazon.com account by checking your Amazon account settings and the Your Memberships & Subscriptions page, you must unlink your Amazon account. After your accounts are successfully unlinked, link your Blink account to the Amazon account you used to purchase your subscription plan. Learn more about unlinking your Blink and Amazon accounts.
Note: If you purchased a plan on Blink.com, you may not have used an Amazon account. To purchase a subscription plan on Blink.com, an Amazon account is not necessary.
