Note: Sync Module Core is compatible with all Blink cameras. Does not support Local Storage or Clip Backup.
Getting started
If you're new to Blink, we're here to help you get started. Begin by downloading the Blink app and creating your account. Once you’ve completed these steps, you can proceed with setting up your Sync Module Core.
If you’re replacing an existing Sync Module with a Sync Module Core, refer to replacing your existing Sync Module.
Setting up Sync Module Core
- Plug in your Sync Module.
- From the Home Screen, tap the + icon in the upper-right corner.
- Tap Sync Module.
- Scan the QR code on the back of the device or tap Enter Serial Manually. Once the serial number has been recognised, select an available system to add your Sync Module to. If no systems are available or if none exist, create a new one with a unique name, then tap Continue. Learn more about creating and managing systems.
- Once the Sync Module displays a blinking blue and solid green LED, tap Discover Device. If a different light pattern is displayed, refer to Understanding the LEDs on your Sync Module.
- You’ll be prompted to join the temporary Wi-Fi network ‘BLINK-xxxx’ (where ‘xxxx’ is the last four digits of your Sync Module’s serial number). Tap Join / Connect.
- From the list of available Wi-Fi networks, select your local Wi-Fi network. Enter the Wi-Fi password and tap Join. If your network doesn’t appear, tap Refresh List. After tapping Join, the Sync Module may perform a firmware update, which can take a few moments.
- Once the Sync Module has been successfully added to your system, a completion screen will appear. Tap Done.
