Mounting your Weather-Resistant Power Adapter
The Weather-Resistant Power Adapter can be mounted to a flat surface using the four included screws and anchors as shown below.
Note: Mount and secure the Weather-Resistant Power Cable before connecting your camera. Do not let a powered camera hang by its cable.
Once your Weather-Resistant Power Adapter is mounted, you can also secure the cable using the four included clips.
Installing the Weather-Resistant Power Adapter with your Blink camera
Mini 2K+ and Mini 2 Installation
Mounting location
Before mounting, select where you'll attach your camera. Use mounting point 1 (vertical mounting) for walls, or mounting point 2 (horizontal mounting) for ceilings and flat surfaces, as shown in the diagram below.

Note: For best performance, avoid placing Mini 2 or Mini 2K+ cameras behind glass. While these cameras can detect motion through windows, this reduces accuracy. If you must place your camera behind glass, turn off both the Recording LED and Night Vision IR LED to prevent glare. For more details, see our camera placement guide.
Mounting Blink Mini 2 and Mini 2K+
- Remove the top cover from the mount. Using the included screws, secure the mount to your surface. Reattach the top cover by aligning and rotating it into the mount until it clicks into place.

- After the mount is secured, press your Mini camera onto the mounting point. It will click into place when secured.
- Connect the Weather-Resistant Power Adapter cable to the USB port on the back of your Mini camera. Position the camera to face the area you want to monitor.
- Connect the other end of the power adapter directly into a power outlet.
You can test the camera's orientation by using Live View in the Blink app.
Outdoor 2K+ and Outdoor 4 Installation
- Confirm the cable will reach from your power outlet to your camera's mounting location without stretching.
- Remove the silicon USB cover from the back of the camera. Store the USB cover in case you need it later.
Note: To maintain weather resistance, the USB port must always be protected - either by the silicon cover or the Weather-Resistant Power Cable.

- Locate the USB port on the lower back of the camera. Insert the Weather-Resistant Power Cable firmly into this port until it creates a complete seal. This maintains your camera's weather resistance.
- Plug the power adapter at the other end into your electrical outlet.
- You can proceed with mounting your Outdoor 4 or Outdoor 2K+ camera.
Note: When using the Weather-Resistant Power Adapter with your Outdoor camera, it's recommended to have working batteries installed. In the event there’s an issue with your camera receiving power, the camera will use the installed batteries to function.
Using the right-angle adapter
You have the option of using the right-angle adapter with your Outdoor camera for increased flexibility when the weather-resistant cable is attached. This adapter snaps into the opening on the back of the camera, as shown in the diagram below.
Then press the adapter onto the connecting point of the mount. The adapter will snap into place indicating a secure attachment.
You can test the camera's orientation by using Live View in the Blink app.

Outdoor (3rd Gen) Installation
- Make sure the cable reaches to your camera without being stretched.
- Remove the back cover of your camera. Learn more about removing your back cover.
- Remove the silicone port cover from the camera's USB port. Store the USB cover in case you need it later.
Note: To maintain weather resistance, the USB port must always be protected - either by the silicon cover or the Weather-Resistant Power Cable.
- With both the USB plug and camera port clean and dry, insert the micro USB plug into the camera - you'll feel slight resistance from the silicone seal, but it should connect smoothly without force if the plug is inserted in the correct direction.
When properly inserted, the plug follows the curve of the camera back, with a small gap (about the width of a fingernail) remaining between the plug and camera, as shown below. This gap is normal and part of the design.
- Before mounting the camera, test the fit to ensure the cable has enough slack. The plug can disconnect if the cable is pulled too tight at your mounting location.
- With the cable attached to the camera, plug the power adapter at the other end into your electrical outlet.
Using the Camera Stand
The Weather-Resistant Power Cable is compatible with the Camera Stand and fits through the opening, as shown below.
