How does the Outdoor Floodlight Mount work?

When connected to your Blink Outdoor 4 camera, the floodlight will automatically activate when motion is detected at night (Note: Your system must be Armed and Motion Detection must be On). You can also manually turn the Floodlight on or off from Home screen, or while performing a Live View in the Blink app.

Can I use the Outdoor Floodlight Mount with any Blink cameras?

No. The Outdoor Floodlight Mount is only compatible with the new Blink Outdoor 4 camera.

Can the Outdoor Floodlight Mount act as a power source or battery backup for my Outdoor 4 camera?

No. The Outdoor Floodlight Mount cannot act as a battery backup for your Outdoor 4 camera. The Outdoor 4 camera must use its own set of 1.5V AA Lithium batteries to function properly. The Outdoor Floodlight Mount also cannot work when the Battery Extension Pack is installed on your Outdoor 4 camera.

What type of batteries does the Outdoor Floodlight Mount use?

The Outdoor Floodlight Mount uses 4 alkaline D-cell batteries to operate. Your Outdoor Floodlight Mount comes with its first set of batteries already installed. To activate power to the Floodlight, remove the pull-tab in the battery compartment. To access or replace the batteries, you must unmount the Floodlight and twist the back cover open to expose the battery compartment.

Will I be notified when the batteries are running low on my Outdoor Floodlight Mount?

Yes, you will be notified via the Blink app if the batteries are running low on your Outdoor Floodlight Mount. Battery status can be found in the Floodlight settings or on the Blink app Home screen.

What is the expected battery life*?
