Before performing a factory reset, follow the steps in the Sync Module Troubleshooting article. If the issue persists, proceed with a factory reset of the Sync Module.
If your Sync Module fails to connect to your Wi-Fi network, performing a factory reset may resolve the issue.
To perform a factory reset of the Sync Module:
- Unplug the Sync Module from the power source.

Press and hold the reset button:

Sync Module 2: Located on the back of the device.

Sync Module (1st Gen): Located next to the USB port on the device.

Sync Module 2: Located on the back of the device.
- While holding the reset button, plug the Sync Module back into the power source.
- Release the reset button when a blinking red LED appears.
- The Sync Module will cycle through various light patterns. A blinking blue and solid green LED indicates the device is ready to be set up.
- If the blinking blue and solid green LEDs do not appear, attempt the factory reset again. Learn more about what the LEDs on your Sync Module indicate.
