How to Power your Blink Camera

Depending on your Blink camera, your device is either powered by AA 1.5-volt lithium non-rechargeable batteries, micro-USB cable, USB-C cable or hardwired to a 100–240 VAC 50/60 Hz power source.

Some third-party manufacturers claim to be compatible with Blink products. Third-party power solutions aren’t supported because of the various problems and safety issues that may arise. Blink accessories are designed to be safe for your use. We cannot warranty devices connected to unreliable power sources or when weather protection is removed. For the best experience, please only use the power solution that was provided in the original packaging or authorised Blink products.

Solar power

The Blink Solar Panel Mount uses power from the sun to continuously power the Outdoor (3rd Gen) providing non-stop peace of mind. Flexible placement is provided by the pivoting of the solar panel when attached, or detach it and move up to two feet away from your camera.

Solar powering your Blink Outdoor (3rd Gen) gives you a wireless security camera system with a motion detection range of approximately 6–20 feet (2–6 m). Learn more about the Blink Solar Panel Mount.

Note: The Blink Solar Panel Mount is only compatible with the Outdoor (3rd Gen).
