Serial Already Registered

When you try to add a device to your system and receive a “Serial already registered” message in the Blink app, this indicates the device has already been set up in a Blink account.

Devices already registered to your own account

If you receive a “Serial already registered” message when adding a device that you have successfully used in the past, make certain that device has already been deleted from one of your own Blink accounts.

If you see the message "Serial already registered to this account," that means a device has already been added to your current account and cannot be re-added.

Third party unsupported sellers

If you receive a Blink device through an unsupported 3rd party seller (or as a gift, preowned, or refurbished), then you will need to contact that original owner or seller regarding the deletion of that device from an existing account. In the event you are unable to contact the original owner or seller, we do not provide further technical support to resolve this issue and your system is no longer warrantied.

It is acceptable to gift or sell your Blink devices. Learn more about selling your existing Blink hardware.

If you continue to have difficulties with adding a device to your Blink system, please contact Technical Support.
