Yes, an active Wi-Fi connection with the following requirements:

Network specifications: 

  • 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network (802.11 b/g/n). 
  • High-speed internet with minimum 2 Mbps upload speed.
  • DHCP-enabled IP configuration. 

Security protocols: WEP, WPA, or WPA2 with TKIP SSID.

Features and functionality

Is two-way audio supported?

Yes, Video Doorbell supports two-way audio.

To use two-way audio during Live View:

  1. Select Tap to Unmute (button turns green).
  2. Speak into your mobile device.
  3. Select Tap to Mute when finished.

Live View sessions timeout after 5 minutes. To restart, return to Home screen and tap Play (icon here).

How do I confirm if motion notifications are turned on?

To receive motion notifications on your mobile device, ensure that Motion Detection is turned on. If the feature is off, follow these steps to turn it on:

  1. Arm your Blink system.
  2. Enable Motion Detection: 
    • From the Home Screen, tap the More... button on your Video Doorbell (2nd Gen) thumbnail.
    • Tap the Motion Detection icon (Running Man) to turn on.
  3. Verify notification settings on your device:

Storage and subscriptions 

What subscription options are available?

The Video Doorbell includes a 30-day Blink Subscription Plus Plan trial at no cost. Afterward, choose between Basic or Plus Plans for cloud storage and premium features. What video storage options are supported?

Cloud Storage: Video Doorbell includes 60-day cloud storage for unlimited video clips (30 days in EU/UK) for all Blink devices on your account.
